Hi,my Name is Keiran, I am 13 and live in Gillingham, Kent

I made my entry into this world in June 1995.

All seemed perfect until I was about 3 months old.
My Mum and Dad were a little worried that my eyes were not working quite as they should.
Four weeks later I was diagnosed as being Blind.
My condition is a very rare one, it is called Septo Optic Dysplasia.
I have been fortunate in that this condition has only affected my eyesight.  I have under developed optic nerves. This only gives me light perception. 

This condition only affects about 1 in 50,000 babies world wide. At the moment if the average optic nerve was to be the size of an Oak tree mine are only like a few small branches.

A Company in China have been working on a therapy. which using Stem Cells can help repair my optic nerves.
Other children like me have had this procedure done and they have all had some success.

This treatment is currently not available anywhere else.
My family and I must now raise £35,000 to be able to pay for my treatment and give me the chance to be able to See with my eyes and not my hands!

I am looking for people to help me to raise/donate the funds needed so I may have the opportunity to see what you can see.

This is our first hope to be able to help Keiran! We never dreamt that Keiran would ever get the opportunity to be able to see!!!!!

Keiran is a lively teenager who loves to live life to the full!  He loves adrenaline sports and spends as much time as he can going fast from Roller Coasters to Tobogon runs.  He is a cheeky young man who loves to tell jokes and enjoys company from other people.  Where ever Keiran is he makes people smile!
